The Nitro Dirtboard is the result of 3 years of passioned design and rugged testing by design engineer Glenn Anderson. Glenn's design site is a 40-foot freight container on the side of a ski-field high in a Southern Alps of New Zealand. But there's a difference, and it's not the potbelly stove, or the bed tucked away at one end that's unusual; it's the $250,000 worth of computer-aided design and machining equipment. This is an office with a view like no other; and it's Glenn's chozen home and testing station. New Zealanders are certainly not new to the concept of innovation and radical recreation. Bungy jumping, Jet boating and the Britten Super bike were born here. New Zealand's mountaineers were the first to climb the highest peak in the world and their rafters tackle the wildest rivers. Over there, if it's not extreme, it's just not sport. Glenn Andersons design work is world class. He has worked at the Hamilton Jet boat company in New Zealand, and in the U.K. doing BMW service and engine building. He has produced advanced single-sided, full-suspension carbon-fibre mountain bikes and associated components that have been far ahead of their time. The 4WD Nitro Dirtboard is the cumulation of this expert design engineering background. The 4WD Nitro Dirtboard has been designed with the use of computer aided modelling; it has been rigorously tested, and is manufactured using the latest production technologies. This machine is innovative, robust and of exceptional quality. Quite simply, if it doesnt match these criteria, it doesnt carry the DirtThingZTM label. |
